Lorena advises clients to build relationships with external partners in support of various business objectives. Together with the Global Nexus team, she develops and updates high-level roadmap of business initiatives and goals so that the business is able to properly position itself within its target market. She believes sustainability plays a central role in today’s business. She helps clients meet their business objectives using an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable approach.
Before joining Global Nexus, she worked for the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in advising the German and Mexican government to implement strategic and innovative projects in sustainable development and public policies.
Among other activities, she coordinated a multi-stakeholder project that supported the incorporation of SMEs from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras into global value chains in the retail sector. Lorena also advised the Mexican Agency for Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) efforts to engage with the private sector in development initiatives. She served at Mexican delegation to the OECD during 2011.
She holds a Masters degree in Development Cooperation from Instituto Mora and a Bachelors degree in International Relations from UNAM. She also completed a technical training course in Sweden. She has published some academic articles about foreign policy and development strategies.
