Ruben founded Global Nexus in 2013.

He has more than 20 years of government, policy, and business experience operating at the nexus of U.S.-Latin America.

He has combined his professional and academic life in Washington, New York, and Mexico. Ruben has a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and an MPA from The American University, Washington, DC.

Miren joined Global Nexus in 2016.

Miren leads and oversees the firm’s operation in Mexico and selected Latin American markets. Previously she worked in Mexico’s government Tax Administration Service and Mexico’s Embassy in Washington, DC. She also worked at Turner Broadcasting System specializing in TV and digital advertising sales for CNN.

Miren has a BA in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Ana joined Global Nexus in 2020.

Ana leads our northern Mexico strategy and represents various clients in the energy, apparel, tourism, and manufacturing sectors, and works with state governments.

Previously she served in Mexico’s Senate and Mexico’s Embassy in Washington, DC as liaison in the Congressional Affairs Office.

Ana has a BA in International Relations from the ITESM Campus Monterrey and an MA in Development, Innovation and Change from the University of Bologna.

Alejandro joined Global Nexus in 2019.

Alejandro leads our travel and tourism practice, industrial conglomerates, apparel, and agricultural sectors. He provides strategic insights on political and economic dynamics helping our clients as they make critical decisions about their operations in the Americas. Previously, he worked as a trade analyst at a Consultancy Services company doing business in the North American region.

Alejandro holds a BA in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and an MA in Political and Public Communication from the Universidad Panamericana.

Jose Carlos joined Global Nexus in 2021.

Jose Carlos leads our Legislative Monitoring practice both at the federal and state level. He manages a network of contacts that provide legislative intelligence for our clients. He assists various clients with operations in Southern Mexico. Before joining Global Nexus, he worked in the Mexican Senate and covered several committees related to foreign affairs, governance, tourism, and the USCMA special committee.

Jose Carlos has a BA in International Relations from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).

Xavier joined Global Nexus in 2021.

Xavier works with clients in the financial services, apparel, and travel and tourism sectors, and provides them with strategic political and economic analysis. Before joining Global Nexus, Xavier worked at the Economic Section of the Mexican Embassy in Washington D.C. and the Embassy of Spain in Mexico City.

Xavier has a BA in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Paola joined Global Nexus in 2023.

Paola oversees the daily press clippings for clients and runs our social media accounts. She assists the team with legislative and policy monitoring. Before joining Global Nexus worked at a Mexican NGO.

Paola holds a BA in Global Affairs with a minor in Global Economy from Universidad Anahuac.

Fernanda joined Global Nexus in 2023.

Fernanda assists the team with policy and legislative monitoring, particularly in the logistics and apparel sectors. Before joining Global Nexus, she worked in different freight forwarders where she has built experience in data analysis, supplier relationship management, business development, and customer service.

Fernanda holds a BA in International Relations and Affairs from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.

Esteban joined Global Nexus in 2024.

Esteban assists the team with legislative and relevant policy monitoring for clients. Before joining Global Nexus he worked on human rights, diversity and inclusion issues.

Esteban holds a BA in Political Science and a BA in International Affairs from the ITAM in Mexico City.

Marcela joined Global Nexus in 2023.

Marcela assists the CEO and the VP with overall scheduling and administrative needs and oversees billing and assists the Global Nexus team.

Marcela has been an Office Manager for more than 25 years. She has extensive knowledge in office tasks, such as high-level customer service and suppliers, especially in the invoice process, collecting, issuing, and managing them.
