Silvana Ordaz


Silvana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She completed a certification in Marketing and Management for Hospitality Institutions from the Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy (CETT) and has a diploma in Leadership and Entrepreneurship from the Donghua University in Shanghai, China.

At Global Nexus, she is responsible for media monitoring, legislative outreach and general research in an array of topics. Additionally, Silvana covers all events and conferences relevant to Global Nexus in Washington, D.C.

Before joining the team, Silvana worked at the International Human Rights Group, the Organization of American States and at the office for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) at her home state of Sinaloa. At DIF she assisted in the organization of events throughout the state and personally coordinated the inauguration of two centers for autism and the blind in Culiacan, Sinaloa.

Among other activities, she’s an active participant as a Delegate at the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women. Her areas of interest include education, human rights, migration issues, women’s’ rights, and the bilateral relation between Mexico and the US.
