Sergio has had extensive experience developing and implementing projects for multi-national companies, governments, and non-profits. At Global Nexus, Sergio has worked in the design and implementation of international agendas for city and state governments with the objective of strengthening ties and cooperation. Hence, he worked providing tools and advice to political figures who wanted to improve the well-being of their communities.
Concurrent with the aforementioned activities, he has designed political communication tools such as speeches, editorials, presentations, and policy briefs for Mexican governors, mayors, and members of the Mexican Congress.
Previously, he worked in the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of a Mexican multinational beverage company. Acting as Coordinator, he worked designing, implementing and project managing a multi-sectoral project. In this capacity, he designed implementation manuals for the business units and created an alliance with more than 15 non-profits of Mexico and the United States. Furthermore, he implemented training workshops which affected over 250 people in over 45 institutions.
For the last two years, Sergio has worked intermittently in Global Nexus as an advisor analyzing North America regional economic and political scenarios and the trilateral relations between Canada, the United States of America and Mexico.
Sergio holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Political Science from Tecnologico de Monterrey and a Master’s Degree of Political Science from the University of Guelph.
