Lorena Montes de Oca
Lorena is a specialist in business development, government affairs and trade working with companies investing in the United States and Mexico.
For over 15 years Lorena has supported companies and associations investing in Mexico. She focuses in developing businesses opportunities and partnerships in the different sectors including, energy, logistics, information technology, workforce development, aerospace and automotive among others.
Lorena also served as Executive Director for Asociacion de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM), a Texas based non-profit established in 1996 focused on business promotion in the United States and Mexico with 26 chapters in both countries.
Previously, she worked for Mexico’s trade and investment agency (Pro Mexico) at the North American Regional Coordination Office in Washington DC developing investment strategies in North America. Lorena has also worked in the public sector for the Minsitry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico City and the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington DC, in the private sector Lorena coordinated the Espacio USA Vanguardia Latina Initiative for Televisa.
Throughout her professional career, Lorena has been passionately involved in several groups and activities that support the Mexican diaspora in the United States.
Lorena holds a Master’s Degree International Communication from American University in Washington DC and Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
