José Carlos Quintal

In his role, José Carlos Quintal carries out numerous activities related to legislative monitoring and analysis of legislative pieces both at the federal and local level that may impact our client´s interests and operations in Mexico. He previously worked at the Mexican Senate as an advisor of legislative law projects and foreign affairs during the LXIV Legislature with the Parliamentary Group of the Revolutionary Institutional Party (PRI) political party. José Carlos is particularly interested in topics related to the USA-Mexico bilateral relation. In this sense, he has worked closely with high-level stakeholders from the public and private sector within the framework of the Senate Special Committee for the USMCA Implementation. Moreover, José Carlos has previous work experience with international organizations and government bodies such as the World Youth Academy, in which he worked in the management of the organization’s social networks and research-; and the Federal Ministry of Culture, where he conducted research on public policies, legislative monitoring, and search for profiles of relevant actors for the sector. José Carlos completed his bachelor studies at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), where he specialized on comparative politics between the Western Hemisphere.
